Anaheim is home base for Cali Coast Shutters & Shades. Our showroom is on Katella Avenue in West Anaheim, and we've spent more than 15 years fitting custom blinds, shutters and shades in homes across the city, from the hillside streets of Anaheim Hills to the historic bungalows of the Colony.
Anaheim's inland heat and strong afternoon sun are hard on window coverings. Off-the-shelf blinds warp, fade and leave light gaps. Ours are custom-made for your exact windows, and Rich, our owner, measures and installs them, so they fit properly and keep working for years.
As a local, family-owned business, we don't use high-pressure sales tactics. You get honest advice, full-size samples in your own home and clear, all-in pricing with no hidden fees.
We offer four types of blinds that suit Anaheim's climate and home styles.
Faux wood blinds give you the warm look of real wood without the risk of warping or cracking in summer heat. They resist moisture, so they also work in kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms. Clean them with a damp cloth.
Banded blinds, also called zebra or dual shades, alternate sheer and solid fabric bands. Line the bands up to let in soft daylight while keeping your privacy, or offset them to close the shade. They're a clean, modern choice for newer Anaheim homes and condos.
Roller shades roll up into a slim headrail and come in light-filtering, blackout and solar fabrics. Solar fabric cuts glare and heat on west-facing windows while keeping your view. Roman shades fold into soft, tailored pleats and add warmth to living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms.
Honeycomb shades trap air in their cells, creating an insulating layer between the window and the room. That helps keep rooms cooler on hot afternoons and warmer on winter nights. They're a popular choice for large windows and sliding glass doors.
Every set is made to your measurements, with cordless and motorized options available for homes with kids and pets.
Plantation shutters are a long-term investment that adds value to your home. Tilt the wide louvers to direct light where you want it while blocking views in from the street. Each panel is custom-built to fit, including arches, circles and sliding glass doors.
Choose real wood for living areas or moisture-resistant composite for bathrooms and kitchens. Both add a layer of insulation, which helps on Anaheim's hottest days.
Motorized shades raise and lower at the touch of a button, on a schedule or by voice through Alexa, Google Home or Apple HomeKit. Set them to close before the afternoon sun hits and open again in the evening. They're ideal for tall or hard-to-reach windows and remove dangling cords entirely.

Anaheim's homes range from century-old bungalows to hillside houses with wide views, and each style calls for something different at the window.
Homes in Anaheim Hills often have large picture windows, tall great rooms and sliding doors facing the canyon views. Those same windows take the brunt of the afternoon sun. Solar roller shades, honeycomb shades and plantation shutters cut heat and glare without hiding the view, and motorized shades make tall windows easy to manage.
West Anaheim's mid-century ranch homes are close to our showroom, and many still have original or builder-grade blinds. Faux wood blinds and banded shades are popular, affordable upgrades here, and shutters add lasting value when it's time to sell.
The historic Colony district is full of Craftsman bungalows and early 1900s homes, with narrow, tall or slightly out-of-square windows. Custom sizing matters here. We measure every opening and choose inside or outside mounts that respect the home's original trim and character.
Anaheim sits inland, so it misses most of the coastal breeze, and summer afternoons are often hot. West-facing rooms heat up fast and furniture and floors fade. Insulating shades, solar fabrics and shutters help keep rooms cooler, lower the load on your air conditioning and protect your interiors from UV damage.
We also serve nearby Fullerton, Orange, Garden Grove and Buena Park.

Faux wood blinds are the most durable choice because they won't warp or crack in heat. For keeping rooms cooler, honeycomb shades and solar roller shades perform best, especially on west-facing windows.
Yes. Historic homes often have tall, narrow or slightly uneven windows. Because every blind, shade and shutter is made to measure, we can fit them properly and choose mounts that suit the original woodwork.
For large windows, motorized roller shades or honeycomb shades are easy to use and block heat. For sliding glass doors, vertical cellular shades or sliding shutter panels keep the door easy to use while controlling light and privacy.
Most standard projects in Anaheim are installed in just a few hours, and Rich leaves your home clean when the job is done.
Yes. We work throughout the city, including West Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, the Colony, downtown and the Platinum Triangle, as well as surrounding Orange County cities.
My family and I have purchased from Rich at Cali Coast Shutters and Shades two times: 1) shutters and 2) blinds. We were extremely satisfied with the quality (wood shutters), efficient and professional service, and affordable price. I called Rich again when a tenant "broke" two window blinds that he did not install, and he was able to fix the childproofing/reset the parts quickly and didn't ask for payment. This solved my problem, the blinds work again and I didn't have to buy new ones (or charge the tenant). I gave him a tip. You can trust Cali Coast Shutters and Shades to do a great job. Thanks for the awesome customer service!!

Just wanted to update my post. Richard installed all the interior shades in our new home a few years ago, and also did a couple of exterior solar screens. We're still very happy with the work he did. Over time, the roll-down mechanism on the solar screen became hard to use and needed some maintenance, and Richard stopped by and fixed it as part of the service. It was very kind of him to do that, and we highly recommend him and Cali Coast.

We purchased a total of 7 window coverings from Rich when we remodeled our home and we are happy with ALL of them. He and one of his installers did a great job on all of our shutters, including a bay window. He personally did a great job installing all of our roller shades including an automated roller shade on a 12 foot wide slider/window combo. Pricing was very reasonable; I definitely feel like we got a lot of bang for our buck. He showed a lot of patience to answer all of my questions during the install. What stood out most to us, and led me to write this review was when we had issue with one of our remotes for the automated shade. He personally came out within 48 hrs, brought us a new remote and reprogrammed everything. Then he checked up a couple days and a week later to make sure everything was as working well. It's hard to find that level of customer service this day in age.
